GMG Radio Hires Head Of Non Traditional Revenues

Guardian Media Group Radio has appointed Jo Beedham to lead the development of the company?s non-traditional revenue streams.

As Head of Non Traditional Revenues, Jo joins GMG Radio in February from Chrysalis Radio Sales and will be responsible for maximising interactive revenues and building revenue streams from services like mobile phone texting and personalised ring tones and dating services. She will also work to enhance our national and regional sponsorship and promotions propositions.

The creation of this new position will enable GMG Radio to develop new opportunities for commercial clients wanting to reach consumers of its Real Radio, Smooth FM and JAZZFM brands through means other than traditional spot advertising.

Jo will be based within Smooth FM in Manchester, reporting to Julian Carter, Group Director of Sales. She joined Chrysalis in 1998 and since September 2003 held the position of Group Head of Chrysalis Radio Interactive.

Julian Carter told RadioMad.net: ?Clients want to work more closely with content, and to provide proper multi-platform solutions, we need to be able to lever and integrate our station brands more effectively with advertisers?.
