The Local Radio Company Plc (‘TLRC’) announces that is has today acquired KCR FM
in the North West for ?507,250 in cash. KCR FM is the Radio Licensee serving
Knowlsey, East Liverpool.
KCR has a measured coverage area of 231,000 adults. It’s first ever RAJAR
results will be published on 27 January 2005.
In the year ended 31 May 2004, KCR FM had total sales of ?200,000, a loss before
tax of ?108,000 and net liabilities of ?31,000.
Richard Wheatly, Chief Executive of TLRC, said:
‘This makes our fourth acquisition since coming to the market in May last year.
‘We view KCR as a business with significant potential. It fits neatly into our
expanding group of stations in the North West and its imminent first RAJAR
results provide us with a new opportunity to expand sales.’
