L107 to replace 107.9 The Edge

Lanarkshire station 107.9 The Edge is to close under the instruction of new owners Perth FM at the end of November, to make way for a new station to launch in time for Christmas.

Originally known as Clan FM when it launched in 1999, 107.9 The Edge was sold to Perth FM last month which is headed by the former Radio 1 DJ Mark Page.

At the moment the station is only reaching 5% of it’s potential audience. Kingdom Radio Group put the station up for sale in July.

The new station, to be called L107 are currently recruting new on-air staff.
