Passion comes alive on FM

Dance stars Graham Gold, Matt Darey, Adam H and the popular Hed Kandi brand are all appearing on a brand new radio station launching in Sussex.

Passion Radio has enjoyed success as an internet only station playing a mix of classic and new dance to an audience of 53,000 music fans. Now, with an 28 day FM licence to broadcast to Brighton & Hove and having recently been granted permission to broadcast on DAB Digital Radio to Sussex the station is setting the South Coast airwaves alight.

Managing Director, Simon Hardwick said: “the DAB side of things is very exciting – digital radio is the future, but so far DAB has only offered existing FM stations or computer programmed jukeboxes. We’re here to change that with an exciting presenter line-up and locally focussed programming “.

Friday Night presenter Adam H is a resident at Brighton’s Honey Club. Commenting on his new show, Adam said: “The move to Passion Radio was an obvious one for me. The station has grown beyond anyone’s expectations and their demographic is much more suited to my audience. At last, a dedicated dance station for Sussex: I’m in my element!”

Former Kiss 100 presenter Graham Gold follows Adam H on a Friday Evening – “I moved out of London and into the Sussex countryside to find inspiration for producing, so I was really happy to hear about Passion Radio because the stations down here just play indie and pop classics!”

Passion Radio can be heard on 87.7 FM in Brighton & Hove, and online at passionradio.co.uk. The station will launch on DAB digital radio in the next few weeks extending coverage to the whole of Sussex and a potential audience of 730,000.
