Virgin gig for ex-Heart presenter

Greg Burns, formerly Heart 106.2’s drivetime presenter, has been hired by Virgin Radio.

After being a long serving member of the Heart 106.2 team – spending four years in the drivetime seat – Burns joins Virgin to host a number of shows on a Sunday afternoon and overnight on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as performing swing duties when required.

Speaking to Media Guardian, Paul Jackson, Virgin Radio programme director, said Burns is a “genuine guy who is into our kind of music”.

Ex-Radio 1 presenter Emma B took over as solo presenter of the Heart drivetime show earlier this year after becoming Burns’ co-host last December.
