Ofcom has published its key determining factors for the award of the Andover local radio licence to Andover FM. The Radio Licensing Committee says it “felt that the backing of Tindle Radio Holdings brings Andover FM considerable experience of operating successful smaller stations in similarly-sized markets.”
It also said that the station’s proposed use of automation was “prudent” for such a small-scale licence and that it was impressed with the commitment to local news.
