Roger Silverstone, non-executive director of UBC Media Group plc and member of the Audit and Remuneration committees, died on 16 July following a routine operation.
Roger was Professor of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics, having previously worked in television research and production for London Weekend Television, Associated Television and the BBC.
Roger joined the UBC board in July 2001, having previously held a non-executive directorship at Freeserve plc.
Simon Cole, Chief Executive of UBC Media Group said:
‘This is a tragic loss and our deepest sympathy is with Roger’s wife and family at this time. Roger had immense knowledge of UBC and the media industry, and has had a strong presence during the 5 years he served the Company. He will be greatly missed by us all.’
