America's biggest annual convention for radio starts today. Thousands of industry professionals are expected to attend the NAB Radio Show, taking place at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas over 3 days, finishing on 22nd September. The show features an intimate networking and sales environment and idea-generating sessions.
The theme for this year's NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) event is "Redefining Radio" and is being marketed as the ultimate venue for connecting with Radio: "There's no better place to interact one-on-one with thousands of radio professionals – from station management to CEOs, engineers to program directors. The show is a unifying force that brings together financiers, owners, management, engineers, manufacturers, personalities, policymakers and advocates in a forum that allows for open and creative exchange of ideas on how to make the most of the current market situations. This year's theme positions The NAB Radio Show® as the premiere gathering for Radio to explore and discuss the new opportunities and challenges brought on by the shifting media environment and how to use new technologies effectively to connect with audiences across all formats."
The National Association of Broadcasters is a trade association that advocates on behalf of more than 8,300 free, local radio and television stations and also broadcast networks before Congress, the Federal Communications Commission and the Courts.
