Ofcom raps Time 107.3

Radio regulator Ofcom has rapped the knuckles of Lewisham-based Time 107.3 over its music output and Public File content. The regulator found that the London Media Company station, originally licensed as First Love Radio and covering the London boroughs of Lewisham and Bromley..

..was using automation in daytime hours not mentioned in its Public File. This has now been rectified.

Ofcom also noted that the station's music output was not in keeping with its format, with Time categorising several songs from the "Hits/Pop" genre as "Soul" and "RnB".

For its part, Time has said that changes to the music output "designed to bring the music output on the station closer to the community" are in progress.

Ofcom has issued Time with a Yellow Card, to remain in force until such time as future monitoring demonstrates that the music policy is within the station's Format.
