An absolute runaway for Oxford

Oxford’s FM107.9 has launched what they describe as the City’s biggest ever radio promotion this week – The FM107.9 RUNaway.

On Friday 13th October at 15:00, at the former Oxford Prison, one former cellmate will escape with £15,000 in cash bounties on his head. All Oxford has to do to win is find him to win.

Every day from 8am for the following three weeks Oxford will get clues as to his/her location via text, online and of course on air. Ian Walker — General Manager of Oxford’s FM107.9 comments: "We are really excited about this new promotion. It’s the next stage in our investment in the station and we are sure it is going to capture the City’s imagination."

The FM 107.9 RUNaway is supported by a £20,000 media spend including bus street liners and bus headliners (booked via Viacom Midlands), a RUNaway street team and a brand new micro website with full Interactivity. The FM107.9 RUNaway is also sponsored by Bristol Street Motors – Oxford’s biggest Peugeot Dealer with a total investment of £10,000.

Pure Media's Managing Director Garry Kelly comments: "We had no hesitation in sponsoring this amazing promotion on behalf of our client Bristol Street Motors. This promotion with Oxford's FM107.9 has formed an integral part of our media plans for this quarter in Oxford."

Once synonymous with punishment, Oxford’s former Prison is now the luxury Malmaison hotel and right across October it will become famous for Cash and Entertainment as the FM107.9 RUNaway with Bristol Street Motors hits the streets.
