Leicester General Hospital's radio station, Radio Gwendolen 1287AM has raised £1,300 through sponsorship of two presenters of taking part in a non-stop 24 hour broadcasting marathon.
The cash will benefit the local Loros hospice, and the brain injury unit at the Leicester General Hospital.
Bob Birch told the Leicester Mercury newspaper "We want to thank everyone who graciously donated money. It was very much appreciated."
