Clear Channel acquired for $19b

Clear Channel has agreed to be acquired for nearly 19 billion dollars.

The largest radio company in the United States owns 1500 radio stations, 448 of which it has announced will sell, along with all 42 TV stations.

Clear Channel will be acquired by private equity firms Thomas H. Lee Partners and Bain Capital.

Radio stations for sale are in 90 markets outside of the top-100 Arbitron metropolitan areas. TV stations for sale are in 24 small and mid-sized markets throughout the country.
