GMG Radio has appointed Alison Forshaw from Emap as Deputy Group Sales Director, after the group’s rapid expansion since acquiring the Century and Saga brands. Alison will leave her position as Sales Director at Key 103 Manchester in April 2007.
Having spent nearly a decade in radio at Chrysalis, Century FM and GCap Media, Alison has a wealth of experience on both local and agency levels and will work directly across GMG Radio overseeing Group Sales, Research, Interactive, Group S&P as well as working locally with each station’s Sales Director’s. She will report direct to Group Sales Director Julian Carter.
GMG Radio’s Group Sales Director Julian Carter said: “This role requires a huge amount of enthusiasm and drive and Alison displayed it all. I have no doubt she will become an invaluable part of the team”.
Alison added: “I will be sad to leave Emap but this is such a great opportunity I would be crazy to turn it down. I can’t wait to become a part of such a dynamic group”.
