Digital confusion over DAB+

The owner of a digital radio website has launched an online attack against the CEO of the national multiplex operator Digital One. Quentin Howard, also the President of the WorldDMB Forum, has been accused of being dishonest after appearing on BBC TV this week talking about the future of DAB+ in the UK.

Steven Green, owner of digitalradiotech.co.uk says Quentin Howard was dishonest about the sound quality available on the current range of DAB radio sets. Quentin also said that DAB+ cannot be used in the UK, with reference to the current multiplex licence, which his company owns. Now Steven Green is interpreting the answer to mean DAB+ will never be used in this country – and is not entirely happy with this response.
