Mark Donaldson joins talk107

UTV Radio's talk107 has appointed sports journalist Mark Donaldson as Sports Editor. He has gained over 10 years experience in covering east coast football for Emap stations Forth 1 and Forth 2. Donaldson joins the station in May to lead the sports news output across the week.

As part of his new role, Donaldson will also broadcast reports on the SPL and Scottish football in general to talk107’s sister station, talkSPORT.

talk107 Managing Director, Peter Gillespie, said, “We are delighted Mark is joining the team. We are committed to investing in acquiring the very best talent both to maintain our rapid growth and establishing talk107 as a first choice station in Edinburgh and east central Scotland. Securing a person as experienced and talented as Mark as our Sports Editor, is a real coup for us and underlines our reputation as the best station for east coast football and sport in general.”

Mark Donaldson, said, “'Covering sport in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife, as well as at national and international level, has been a big part of my working life. Therefore, I'm delighted to get this opportunity to take on the role of Sports Editor at a progressive and ambitious station like talk107. I am also looking forward to the chance to promote Scottish football to a UK audience on talkSPORT, as their Scottish Football correspondent.”
