The second batch of seven Sony Radio Academy Awards have been handed out – and 6 more were won by the BBC. Christian O'Connell broke the trend, picking up one for Virgin Radio's competition "Who's Calling Christian?"

The Sony Radio Academy Awards 2007 are in full swing here at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, with the first eight awards already having been handed out. The BBC have taken 6 of them, with one for Wise Buddah and one for Emap.
talk107 goes wild with Liz
Edinburgh talk radio station talk107 is launching a new afternoon show with former WAG and BBC Radio Scotland presenter Liz Clark. She'll be joined on 'Wild Women' by a team of regular co-presenters including agony aunt Hayley Matthews. They replace Micky Gavin who has left the UTV station.

Ever-evolving national digital radio station theJazz has launched its own record label, in a deal with Universal Classics and Jazz (UCJ). The first branded album, 'Come Into The Cool', will be released in June followed by 'theJazz presents The Very Best of Latin Jazz'.

It's the award ceremony that brings together people from all corners of the radio industry, from the BBC to commercial, and Internet podcasts to content providers. The Sony Radio Academy Awards are celebrating 25 years, and they're taking place in London tonight.
Networks unite for Music Week
For the second year running, commercial radio stations are to join forces to promote the best of UK Music. A week of special programmes across 250 stations will feature exclusive interviews with the likes of Travis, Amy Winehouse and Natasha Bedingfield.
More FM networking at Emap
The late night slot on Emap stations Viking FM, Radio Aire and Hallam FM is set to be networked from this evening with a new show hosted by Ian Skye and Vix Larder. The Confessional will air five nights a week, Sunday to Thursday, starting tonight (April 29th).
