Kaiser Chiefs to control Xfm

From Sunday The Kaiser Chiefs will be popping in to the Xfm studios on a weekly basis for a month as they become the latest band to take control of The Xfm Residency. The band will be taking in records from their own personal collection and everything that goes on air will have been hand picked by them.

The Kaiser Chiefs are following on the heels of Damon Albarn and The Manic Street Preachers both of whom brought an individual sound to the show while they were at the helm.

Managing Director of the Xfm Network, Nick Davidson, said: "The feedback that we are receiving from The Xfm Residency is fantastic. We have had a great line up since it started and we are really excited to be joined by The Kaiser Chiefs from Sunday. Both Damon Albarn and The Manics brought a really individual sound to Xfm and we know that The Kaiser Chiefs will do exactly the same.’"

The Kaiser Chiefs Nick Hodgson said: "We’re going to be playing all of our favourite songs, lots of new stuff and then a few old things mixed in. You know the kind of thing. The sort of thing radio should be — good music."
