Catterall commits to Rock FM

Adam Catterall has signed a two year contract with Emap station Rock FM to continue to host the breakfast show. The news follows a nomination for Presenter of the Year alongside Virgin Radio's Christian O'Connell and Trent FM's Jo and Twiggy at Monday's Arqiva Awards.

Rock FM Station Director Anthony Gay said "Adam is an exciting talent who is already engaging audiences across the region. Even before the award nomination he was attracting interest from radio stations around the country and I'm extremely happy to see him commit to Rock FM. His down to earth style has quickly proved a hit."

Said 26 year old Adam told RadioToday.co.uk: "This is the show I dreamt of presenting when I was a kid. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to be recognised by the industry on a national level, but right now I don't want to be doing anything else other than Breakfast on Rock FM."

Adam is a local lad – having attended school and college in Blackburn (meh – the same one as me! – editor) and previously hosted overnights and the evening show on the station.
