Tindle Radio station Town 102 will be sending their Roadrunner team out around Ipswich to collect unwanted ashtrays throughout the month of July. The "Ashtray Amnesty" will raise money for Cancer Research UK by recycling ashtrays no-longer needed once the smoking ban commences.
David Rees, Programme Controller, Town 102 told RadioToday.co.uk: "I believe it’s your right to decide whether you wish to smoke or not. But I also feel that this is a fantastic opportunity to do some good, both helping theenvironment by recycling unwanted Ashtrays and by donating any proceeds toa fantastic cause”
