Back of the shirt for JACK

JACK-fm hasn't even arrived in the UK yet, but already it's getting involved with the local community in Oxford. The station's signed up to sponsor the shirts of the city's football team and broadcast every game live on the new station once it launches this summer. JACK-fm's promising a dedicated sports show every matchday, covering Oxford United at home and away.

Sister station FM107.9 supported the U's with a "Balls for Goals" promotion last season, and owners Absolute Radio have signed up for the JACK-fm brand to be plastered on the back of players' shirts this season – as well as doing match commentary on the Blue Square Premier league side. (That's the new name for the Conference league this season, in case you were wondering!)

Oxford United's Commercial Manager Peter Corbett is delighted to have soon-to-launch JACK-fm on board: "JACK will bring a new, dynamic match day experience to fans that can’t attend the games and their unique commentary team will be at every home and away game. This marks the beginning of a prosperous long term relationship with JACK-fm".

Ian Walker, General Manager of JACK-fm & FM107.9), added: "I am delighted that Oxfordshire’s newest commercial radio station in 10 years, JACK-fm, is aligning itself with the biggest sporting club in the county. Our association with OUFC will allow JACK-fm unlimited access to the players and coaching staff and our shirt sponsorship and "live" commentary throughout the season demonstrates our clear commitment to sport in Oxfordshire. We are certain that, with the support of JACK-fm, the U’s are destined to be promoted back to the League".

JACK-fm's launching soon – the first UK station to use the brand under which more than 40 radio stations operate across Canada and the USA. Visit their [link=http://www.jackfm.co.uk]website[/link] for more info.
