A Latin American internet radio station has been granted permission by Ofcom to broadcast in London on a temporary basis. XPressit FM will operate with an RSL licence from August 13th to September 9th and programmes will include Breakfast with Mexican actor Ernesto Leszek.
Ernesto's show will run daily, Monday to Friday from 7am to 8am, playing music from Latin America as well as interviewing other Latinos working in the show-business in Britain. Latin American Mornings aims to fill the demand of a growing number of Latinos wanting to keep in touch with their heritage through music.
According to the latest government figures, there are between 700,000 and one million Latinos in the UK at any one time. XPressit FM is a platform for talented young people wanting to get into radio.
