GCap Media's Northants 96 is now the official radio station of Northampton Town Football Club, aka The Cobblers, RadioToday.co.uk can reveal. Club Chairman David Cardoza announced the deal today, which includes presenter columns in the official match programme, ticket give-aways on-air and stadium branding for Northants.
The partnership will be launched when the current team manager, Stuart Gray, is a guest with breakfast hosts Jagger and Woody on Thursday August 9th, two days before the first match of the season.
"We are delighted to be working so closely with Northants 96," said Chairman David Cardoza. "They have a huge listenership and they will help us promote the club to the whole of Northamptonshire. We have been delighted with the support they have offered us, and they are right behind the club in our bid to be successful."
Colin Paterson, Programme Controller for Northants 96 told RadioToday.co.uk: "We are equally as pleased to be working with the club. "We are very happy to be as associated as closely as possible with the club, offering the Cobblers very real help and support. A successful football team is important to any area, and we want to play our part in making the Cobblers successful, and by helping the club promote their message to as many people as possible."
