Gcap Media's 102.8 Ram FM has arranged a deal with Derby County FC to broadcast full match commentary on all games for the 2007/2008 season. The station has also signed with the Derbyshire Building Society to sponsor the match day coverage.
Ram FM’s Programme Controller James Daniels told RadioToday.co.uk: "It's the first time in the 20 year history of our radio station that this has been done, it's a momentous occasion, and a real milestone for us."
Ram FM’s sports reporter Phil Matthews and Ram’s legend Roger Davies will host the commentary. Life long Ram’s fan Phil said: "I am absolutely thrilled to be able to commentate on my home team. It further highlights Ram FM’s continued support of Derby County. Football finally has come home for us here at Ram FM!"
