Independent production company Somethin' Else will no longer produce the national chart show hit40uk from next year. Instead, GCap Media will take over the running of the syndicated programme, overseen by group PD for content and digital, Pete Simmons.

Capital DJ Lucio is set to continue as host of the show, which is broadcast on over 100 local radio stations across the UK. Somethin' Else have produced the chart for four years, after taking over the contract from Unique.
