Job cuts at Global Radio

Senior bosses at Global Radio have announced a management shake up which will see Heart MD Barnaby Dawe, LBC MD David Lloyd, Galaxy MD Martyn Healy, Heart Group PD Francis Currie and the Heart marketing director Tina Finch all being made redundant.

The jobs cuts are part of a new, simplified management structure, which has just been announced at their West London studios by Global Radio chief executive officer Ashley Tabor, and executive director Richard Park.

Don Thomson, formerly commercial director, has been promoted to chief operating officer, and Mark Evans, formerly finance director, has been promoted to chief financial officer.

Additionally two new senior roles have been created: Head of Marketing and London Stations Director.

Commenting on the announcement, Ashley Tabor said “These changes will enable us to build a new culture that values creativity, enthusiasm and innovation while rewarding success and enabling fast moving and precise decision making.”
