New recruits at GaydarRadio

Digital station GaydarRadio is investing more money into live programming, and creating a new podcast production unit in the run up to its role as a service provider for the new Channel 4 national digital radio multiplex. The unit will be overseen by GaydarRadio programme consultant Jamie Crick.

Schedule changes from next week includes Debbie Ryan from Fox FM hosting two new live weekend shows and Alex Duffy from Chiltern Radio hosting weekend breakfast.

Programme Controller Robin Crowley, said: “GaydarRadio’s success is built on its interactivity with our community of users in the Gaydar chatrooms. Our new weekend line up allows us to extend that listener dialogue further.”

Gaydar is also investing in its news and information team ahead of the launch of GaydarNation.com, its new global networking site which is currently in Beta format. Joanne Oatts has been appointed News Editor and will work across both GaydarNation.com and GaydarRadio, producing on air and online news and information bulletins across the day.

Joanne joins Gaydar on November 1 from Digital Spy where she was an entertainment reporter. She reports to Stephen Beeny, Editor of GaydarNation.com.
