Rock School returns to Xfm

Xfm is bringing back Rock School for the fourth year running. The talent competition, running on all Xfm stations, is a nationwide search to find the best school rock bands in the UK, and young musicians have until November 27th to submit their entries.

Xfm Breakfast Show DJ, Alex Zane, who was once in a band when he was at school although by his own admission, not a very good one says: “You know you’re not very good when your guitarist had to sit down to play his solos and your singer was tone deaf. I was the singer. This years Rock School is going to be the best yet as there is so much talent out there and we’re gonna find it, using a new machine I’ve invented – I just need to get it legalised in this country. We’re going to find the next Arctic Monkey’s or at least The Monkees, I’ll be happy with either!"

Some of the biggest and best bands in the world met in the school playground including U2, The Thrills, Ash, Supergrass and The Jam, giving the GCap Media company inspiration for running the competition.
