Ande Macpherson has been appointed to the role of managing director for Xfm Manchester. He will continue to provide his programming responsibilities across the Xfm brand, whilst focusing on the Salford Quays-based station.
Ande was previously programme director at Century FM and head of music for the brand but moved to Xfm after the station was bought by GMG Radio. His new appointment will ensure a clear and focused direction and leadership for the Manchester business, GCap bosses said today.
Xfm is currently moving out of their base at Laser House on Salford Quays which they have been sharing with Century FM since launch. A new studio and office complex has been built at Exchange Quay, just half a mile away.
