Take it all, says Emap

Emap are today suggesting potential bidders interested in acquiring its business to business division, including television and radio magazine Broadcast, should consider buying the entire group, as a possible way of enabling the return of the cash, including the proceeds of any potential disposals, to shareholders.

The Board confirms it has not received any approach to acquire Emap as currently constituted and that the commencement of the offer period is not a consequence of any proposal received to date. The review continues to examine all options, including the potential sale or demerger of some or all of the constituent parts of the Group.

The review remains on track and the Board continues to be encouraged by progress, with good interest in all parts of the Group from both trade and private equity.
