Muller departs Capital 95.8

Capital 95.8 has announced that programme director Scott Muller will be leaving the station at the end of December. Scott will remain within GCap in a group programming role. Muller replaced Nik Goodman at Capital Radio just 18 months ago.

The departure is the latest in a series of high-profile changes to the station since the arrival of new MD and former Virgin Radio chief executive Paul Jackson.

Last week, Radio Today exclusively revealed that Bam Bam was to leave the station, to be replaced on weekday evenings by current drive and Hit40 presenter Lucio. It was also announced that Margherita Taylor is returning to her weekday mid-morning morning show.

Former Heart 106.2 drivetime presenter Greg Burns, who was hired by Jackson at Virgin, will replace Lucio.

Commenting on Muller's departure, Jackson said: "Scott has done some great work repositioning the station over the past year. We wish him the best of luck and would like to thank him for his hard work and dedication to the station."
