BBC Radio Lancashire is starting the new year with a few schedule changes following the final programmes from the BBC bus last month.
Ladies do Lunch is a new show for weekdays – it will be broadcast in front of a live studio audience and be presented by Sally Naden and Carole Turner. John Gillmore will move to a new afternoon show between 1-4pm each day while Brett Davison will be present weekday drivetime.
There will also be changes to weekend programmes including a Best Of programme, Unmissable, with Joe Wilson on Sunday lunchtimes. Sunday Night Soul with Keith Fletcher will move to evenings between 6pm and 8pm.
The Sports phone-in on Saturday evenings between 6pm and 7pm has been re-introduced to the schedule due to audience demand. Gerald Jackson will continue to host a gardening phone-in with music on Sunday afternoons
Managing Editor of the station, John Clayton, says: “These schedule changes put us in the best position possible to not only to retain our regular listeners but also add new ones with lively, well-placed and engaging programmes that sound fresh and are relevant to our audience.”
New schedules begin from 21st January on 95.5, 103.9 and 104.5 FM along with 855 and 1557 AM.
