Rick leaves Rock for Juice

Rock FM's drive-time presenter Rick Houghton is leaving Emap to join UTV as programme controller of Juice FM in Liverpool.

Rick is returning to his home city, a place where he left less than a year ago when he worked at Radio City 96.7, and told RadioToday.co.uk he can't wait to get started: "I am so excited to be returning to my home town to programme Juice FM, Liverpool is the most exciting place in the UK and Juice FM has all the energy and talent to take full advantage."

Rick has worked for Emap throughout his UK career and was one of the first presenters signed to the group in 1991. His work includes spells at Key 103 and Metro Radio. He also worked in Dubai launching CHR radio station s across the Middle East.

Rick starts in Liverpool at the beginning of March.
