GCap's Operations Director Steve Orchard is to leave the company. Orchard, who has been involved in GWR and GCap for over two decades will continue as an executive of the group until 30th April but will step down from the Board with immediate effect.
Orchard's departure follows Ralph Bernard stepping down as chief executive of GCap in November.
Steve Orchard commented on his departure, saying: “I have built strong and enduring relationships with my colleagues over very many years and I am immensely proud of our achievements during my stewardship as Group Operations Director. This has been a marvelous journey and I’m looking forward to new challenges outside GCap.”
GCap chairman Richard Eyre said: “Steve is highly respected in the industry for developing and inspiring some of its finest talent. His creativity has played a central role in the building of GWR and GCap over a period of 24 years. We wish him every success for the future.”
