Oneword Radio is to undergo a strategic review which could see the closure of the speech-only service. The station is currently broadcasting as normal on Sky, Freeview and online but the website has been changed in to a holding page.
Oneword is backed by UBC Media and Channel 4.
It has been reported this morning that Channel 4 has sold its 51 per cent share to UBC Media for £1, fueling speculation. In November, UBC [link=https://radiotoday.co.uk/news.php?extend.2725]announced[/link] it wanted out of the venture, confirming that it has already fully written off its 49 per cent investment in the digital station.
