Another Wire FM jock exits

Wire FM's mid-morning show host Phil Johnson is the latest presenter to leave the UTV station recently, as he joins Dune FM as programme controller.

Phil has worked around the northwest radio scene for over 10 years including stints at The Bay, Dee 106.3, Marcher and as part of the original launch team for Wire FM. He was most recently at Tindle Radio as head of programming and music for North Norfolk Radio.
Phil tells RadioToday.co.uk: "I have enjoyed the last 12 months back at Wire and have immensely enjoyed my time with Cheshire FM. However I have missed the headaches of management and I have a genuine love for Southport – as I was ran over there when I was 7 and lost my 3 front teeth!"
Breakfast jock Dominic Walker left Wire FM late in 2007, followed by drivetime presenter Dave Collins who announced his departure last month to take up travelling.
