Tony Blackburn is spending a week in Hull and east Yorkshire, covering the Steve Jordan breakfast show on KCFM 99.8 all next week.
The radio legend and terrible joke-teller will be on-air from 6am till 10am from the 25th to 29th February. He most recently signed a deal to host weekend breakfast on Smooth Radio in London for GMG after being ‘let go’ from GCap Media’s Classic Gold network.
Steve, who is taking a break for a week told RadioToday.co.uk: "Tony joined us to present our new Friday mid-morning show at the beginning of the year, and when I knew my holiday was coming up, I thought of cheekily asking him if he'd do my breakfast show for a week, fully expecting him to say no – but to my delight he said yes, and it seems his excitement for it is as equal as mine. I'm now not sure I'll actually get a lie in now, as there's every chance that while I'm away, I'll be listening!"
His first show on Smooth Radio was last weekend.
