Community radio station Chorley FM is celebrating one of their presenters winning a national talent search competition.
DJ Meecha, AKA Chris Meacher won a catalogue of releases from the record label Hammer Records, and also compiled the showcase mix for the label which is now available to download freely from the record labels web site.
Speaking of the achievement, Phil Baker, Chair of the Board of directors for Chorley FM said “We are very proud of Chris and congratulate him on his achievements. We are one of a few stations around the country that showcase the talent of DJ’s that specialise in music of this type. Chris’ talent is recognised across the UK and I know he is over the moon about winning this competition. He is an asset to the station and such an accolade is well deserved.”
Chorley FM are also looking for new volunteers to help re-launch the station and request anyone interested to contact the station direct.
