Ofcom is asking for declarations of intent for anyone interested in applying for the local FM licence for Ullapool, including current licence holder Lochbroom FM.
If the only declaration of intent submitted is from the existing licensee, Ofcom will invite Lochbroom FM Limited to reapply for the licence. If a declaration of intent is received from any party in addition to, or rather than, the existing licensee, the licence will be re-advertised.
The closing-date is 3.00pm on Monday 7 April 2008, and a non-refundable application fee of five thousand pounds is payable with each declaration of intent.
Lochbroom FM started broadcasting on May 1st 1997 on 102.2 and 96.8.
