theJazz confirms closure date

Digital radio station theJazz will close next week. Industry rumours suggested the station might be thrown a life-line along with Planet Rock, which will stay on-air for another month, but GCap has confirmed the closure date and time as midnight on Monday 31st March.

A rolling jazz music stream has been added to myclassicfm.com which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in addition to two hours a day of jazz programming.
A message on the station website says: "On behalf of the team behind theJazz, we would like to thank listeners for all their good wishes and the warm, kind words in support of the station.
"We all very touched that you have enjoyed what you have heard and that the station has made a difference to your lives."
