Vidler gets Bauer promotion

The new owners of Magic 105.4 have taken a shine to managing director Andria Vidler and promoted her to chief marketing officer for Bauer Consumer Media. Her new combined role means she will now be in charge of marketing across all of BCM’s brands spanning magazines, radio, online, mobile and TV.

The former Capital 95.8 and BBC boss takes up the role within the month and will work alongside the group MDs Dee Ford, Marcus Rich and Rob Munro Hall and will report in to Paul Keenan, BCM’s CEO.
Paul Keenan said: "I am delighted to have Andria at the helm of BCM’s talented marketing team. She has done an amazing job with the transformation of Magic 105.4 and the development of our digital radio portfolio, working collaboratively across the BCM editorial and commercial portfolio.
Andria said: "BCM is in the exceptional position of having some of the world’s strongest specialist media and entertainment brands. This is an extraordinary opportunity to unleash the creative energy within the business by putting marketing truly at the heart of everything we do – integral to the profit and loss of a brand and not a parallel service.
During her six years at the BBC Andria held a number of strategic marketing and communications positions including head of business development and marketing at BBC Sport and marketing manager assisting on the launch of Radio 5Live
It is expected a new manager will be appointed to look after the day to day operations at Magic 105.4 in London.
