Coldplay to join Q's Samanthi

The re-launch of Bauer's Q Radio will be hyped up with an interview between evening show presenter Samanthi and Coldplay.

The band are to be the debut star interview when the digital-only station launches on Monday at 6pm, on Freeview nationwide and DAB in London.

In other news, broadcaster and writer David Quantick, famous for his work on Harry Hill’s TV Burp and Grumpy Old Men will present his own show from 4pm – 6pm on Saturdays.
Ric Blaxill, Q Radio programme director, said: “We’re delighted to have a Coldplay interview in the first show which coincides with them being cover stars of the next issue of Q Magazine.
“We’ll always be looking at how we can make a difference by working with the editorial team to create content to work across all the different Q platforms – on the page, on air and online.
Already announced are the flagship daily evening show QPM hosted by former XFM and BBC 2 Desi DNA presenter Samanthi. Acid Jazz records founder Eddie Piller and acclaimed young stand-up comic Russell Kane will also be joining Q.
Eddie will host a weekly Friday night show featuring guests and anecdotes drawn from nearly 30 years in music business.
