Major marketing for UTV stations

UTV Radio is launching a new major marketing campaign across eight of its ILR stations. The activity begins at The Pulse in West Yorkshire and continues to 96.5 Radio Wave across Blackpool and 107.4 Tower FM across Bolton and Bury before the creative is rolled out across the five remaining stations.

These include Signal One in Staffordshire and Cheshire, 107.2 Wire FM in Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn, Peak FM in Chesterfield and North Derbyshire, 102.4 Wish FM in Wigan and St Helens and 96.4 The Wave in Swansea and south west Wales.
The marketing revolves around the strap line that has been adopted across the group ‘You Love It. We Play It.’
Wolverhampton based M3 Communication’s Jim Sinclair-Smith and Lib Beese bought the media and designed the creative respectively.
John Dash, UTV Radio, group programme director, said: “Following our extensive market research, our stations have developed tremendously over the last eighteen months. Following text campaigns across Q4 of last year, I’m convinced this marketing is exactly what we need to re-introduce our local stations to a wider audience”.
