Ofcom have awarded the new local digital radio multiplex licence for North Wales to MuxCo Wales. It brings the total number of licences due to be operated by MuxCo consortiums to nine.
MuxCo Wales will be responsible for broadcasting the following services.
Coast FM (GCap Media Plc)
Champion FM (GCap Media Plc)
Wales Live (Town and Country Broadcasting Ltd)
UCB UK (United Christian Broadcasters Ltd)
Traffic Radio (English Language)
Traffic Radio (Welsh Language)
BBC Radio Wales
BBC Raido Cymru
MuxCo Wales Limited also proposes to provide "a wide selection of speech and music podcasts provided by a range of companies".
