The Ofcom broadcast licence held by TLRC's 107.5 Sovereign Radio is being advertised to third parties in time for its expiry in November 2009.
Ofcom proposes to grant a further licence for this area, for a period from the expiry date of the current licence to 31 December 2015.
The closing-date for the receipt of declarations of intent from prospective licence applicants is 3pm on Monday 4 August 2008. A non-refundable application fee of £5,000 will be payable to Ofcom with each declaration.
If TLRC is the only company to express an interest, the licence will enjoy a "fast-track" procedure and will be re-newed till the end of 2015.
