Former SRH buys into Ireland

The former chief executive of Scottish Radio Holdings and owner of Wave 102 is expected to buy up five radio stations in Ireland later this week.
Richard Findlay, who quit SRH in 2004, is understood to be offering more than 50 million pounds to buy the stations.

According to Irish website Business World, the stations are Ocean FM, which covers Sligo/Donegal, KCLR in Kilkenny and Carlow, Tipp FM in Tipperary, KFM in Kildare, and Mid West Radio in Mayo.
Findlay and his son Adam own New Wave Media which recently bought Dundee station Wave 102 for one million pounds.
The five stations are currently owned separately; Ocean is owned by River Media; MidWest's shareholders include media company Thomas Crosbie Holdings; Tipp FM is owned by the Irish Press plc.
