Arqiva Newcomers of the Year nominees Hywel Evans and Jamie Atherton have been given a new daily drive-time show on Bauer Radio's Lancashire station Rock FM.
The double act are currently hosting a weekend late show on the station but will go full time from September 1st, replacing Mark Kaye.
They were also nominated at the Sony Awards as “rising stars”.
Anthony Gay, station director said: “Hywel and Jamie are a powerful combination and have taken their current weekend slot to a new level. We understand the need to deliver exciting and entertaining radio, not just at breakfast, and this appointment will present “must listen” radio at both ends of the working day."
