BBC Radio Nottingham is set to entertain in the city centre this Thursday with the aim of demonstrating that the area after dark is not just for youngsters.
Presenters from the station will be taking part too, sampling the various activities and edible delights available.
Big Night Out is the innovation of Radio Nottingham breakfast show presenter Andy Whittaker who hopes this Big Night Out can build on the work from last year. He says: "I think the last Big Night Out proved that the image of the city centre is changing.
"People who hadn't been into Nottingham at night for years were pleasantly surprised and I'm sure that making the most of the lighter summer evenings this time round will make it even more popular."
The event is supported by Nottingham City Council and Nottingham BID (Business Improvement District), and starts at 6pm on Thursday (7th August) in the Old Market Square with the official Big Night Out photo taking place at 6.30pm.
