Pirate gets a traffic plane

The Pirate Eye has been launched by Global Traffic Network UK on behalf of Pirate FM in Cornwall. 96.4 Eagle Radio will also launch a similar service in the next few weeks.

GTN already presents “The Flying Jack” for Jack FM in Oxford.
Head of Radio, Anthony Rudd, says “Radio listeners love and trust traffic information presented from aircraft and we are delighted to offer the best possible traffic service to our affiliates. It’s one of our unique selling points and we’re proud of it”.
Programme Director Bob McCreadie says “We asked the people of Cornwall and they told us airborne traffic reports are something they really want for their radio station. We’re grateful to Global Traffic Network for the service, which will help us cement our Number One position in Cornwall”.
