Virgin Radio – or One Golden Square as it is currently known behind the scenes – has promoted breakfast producer Roque Segade Vieito to the new position of executive producer.
The new senior position has been created to help chief operating officer Clive Dickens look after some of the new presentation talent they’ll bring in as the station re-brands and evolves over the next few months and years.
Speaking on his [link=http://onegoldensquare.com/2008/08/new-talent-new-role-by-clive-dickens/]blog[/link], Clive said: "There are few better qualified to do this new gig than Roque, who has put up with Christian for around seven years now, and been a huge part of that award-winning success story. Roque will take up his new duties in the next few weeks."
A replacement producer for Christian O'Connell's Breakfast Show will be announced shortly, along with the eagerly awaited new name for the station. Last week a new set of musical logos were created for the station at Abbey Road Studios in London.
