Whale files for unfair dismissal

Former talkSPORT presenter James Whale has begun legal proceedings against the station following his dismissal three months ago.

According to Broadcast magazine, the presenter said to be unhappy with his treatment by the station. Whale was fired in May for asking listeners to vote for Boris Johnson in the run-up to the London mayoral election.

The magazine quotes a source that states Whale was upset that station management failed to explain why his contract had been terminated. He is also unhappy that the broadcaster "never gave him the chance to say goodbye to his loyal listeners".
